- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I absolutely hate that the Marine Corps sets new Marines up with this cut-rate, zero effort credit union. Despite a few nice and helpful people here and there, every possible problem that could have happened did. They always assume that you're a 19-year-old recruit incapable of handling your finances if you have any problems (I'm 31.) Any money transfers over a couple thousand dollars are held up for weeks. Checks take forever to clear, even if they are a regular occurrence. Possibly the worst thing is that often phone center operators will tell you that something has been handled and everything will be fine, only to get you off the phone and let you find out otherwise when the problem isn't fixed.By Christian Prosser, January 25, 2017
